Junior Paralegal The candidate will propounds and responds to discovery (state and federal) with attorney supervision; Assists attorneys in the preparation of hearings, depositions, mediations, and trials; Completes investigations and fact-finding for cases; Identifies relevant legal articles, laws, and judicial decisions for cases needed for law and motion work as directed by the Case Manager/Senior Litigation Paralegal; Assists in preparing legal documents such as discovery, complaints, answers, demurrers, motions, the creation of TOCs and TOAs when propounding motions, letters, and other legal and administrative correspondence; Provides legal and administrative support to the attorneys; Assists the Case Manager/Senior Litigation Paralegal with all active, inactive, and closed files; Conducts legal research and drafting as requested by the Case Manager/Senior Litigation Paralegal. Must have 5-7 years of active experience in civil litigation including both plaintiff and defense litigation in the state and federal courts as well as the appellate courts. Knowledge of some family law will be helpful. Must have Associate of Arts degree from an accredited institution in Paralegal Studies or equivalent from an ABA certified school or a Bachelor of Arts degree in any field with 5+ years of experience working as a Paralegal.
