Personal Injury Paralegal The candidate will be managing a plaintiff personal injury caseload. Monitoring medical expenses, lost wages and other damages. Gathering and evaluating medical records. Consulting with clients and their medical providers regarding medical treatment status and future medical needs. Maximizing available insurance coverage to serve clients medical and financial needs. Negotiating bodily injury and uninsured motorist settlements. Preparing closing statements and process settlements. Developing and maintaining effective working relationship with medical and legal professionals in the local community to improve referral rates. Maintaining contact with former clients to secure repeat business. The candidate should have 5-7 years of experience as a plaintiff side personal injury paralegal or legal assistant in a law firm setting. Substantial experience assisting in helping injured clients receive fair compensation for physical and/or mental injury resulting from third party negligence. Paralegal certificate strongly preferred. Stellar research skills, as well as excellent verbal written communication skills required. Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
