Paralegal - Foreign Filing The candidate will manage all prosecution correspondence for patent, copyright and trademark foreign matters. Will assist with preparation, filing and maintenance of foreign applications. Review and manage the firm's foreign patent docket in its entirety. Prepare and file PCT applications and related prosecution documents e.g. response to Invitation to Correct Defects and Chapter II Demands, Article 19 and 34 amendments. Prepare all US and foreign filing reminders for the firm. Prepare and file National Phase and Direct National Filings in foreign countries. Prepare all formal documentation, certification and legalization. Research and retrieve information utilizing legal rule books (e.g., the MPEP, the TMEP, Manuel of Industrial Property, etc.), the USPTO website, foreign Patent Office websites, worldwide resources. Maintain electronic files in prosecution management database. Coordinate and perform a diverse range of services required to accomplish client objectives and satisfy the firm's responsibilities to clients. Collaborate with clients to identify, establish, and maintain data integrity, processes and applicable databases that support client and firm objectives. Maintain the integrity of electronic data relating to clients' intellectual property in accordance with firm policy and procedures. Assess client-specific situations to improve client satisfaction. Meet firm billing requirement. May guide, mentor, or be a resource to others. Bachelor's degree is required. Paralegal certificate is needed. Must have prior experience in direct foreign filing at an IP law firm.
