Legal Secretary Duties: Creates, edits, formats and proofreads documents. Prepares legal documents for eFiling and filing via PACER. Communicates to and on behalf of his or her attorney using Firm technology. Prepares new client matter request packet and coordinates approval; coordinates conflict search processes; prepares retainer letters. Enters, tracks and coordinates new client/matter information. Reviews and edits bills according to client billing arrangements. Edits and coordinates client pitches with Marketing Department. Maintains InterAction and/or Extranet data. Maintains electronic and paper files in accordance with Firm guidelines. Maintains and monitors attorney calendars. Coordinates and/or books travel arrangements. Prepares, tracks and maintains attorney expenses in Chrome River. Organizes and coordinates conference calls and client meetings. Qualifications: High school diploma. Preferred: Associate degree. 5-10 years of legal secretarial experience. Speaks and writes English clearly and succinctly. Preferred: Able to draft correspondence. Minimum Level: Microsoft Office Suite; Chrome River; InterAction; Carpe Diem. Advanced: Troubleshoots technology issues. Preferred Notary Public.
