Associate Attorney Responsibilities: Research unique legal issues by identifying applicable statutes and judicial decisions. Draft legal memoranda, motions, briefs and prepare other filings. Attend master calendar hearings, bond hearings, and individual/merits hearings. Attend client interviews for residence and naturalization with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Attend asylum interviews with U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services. Manage various projects and deadlines. Explain legal language to clients. Keep abreast of legislative changes that may affect immigration. Requirements: JD degree. Active Bar license (good standing in FL preferred). Prior Immigration Law experience is preferred. Have excellent writing skills. Fluent in Spanish preferred.
