Title : Patent Paralegal

Patent Paralegal The candidate will reviewing and organizing files, reviewing docket for deadlines. Will be prioritizing workload to meet foreign filing deadlines and due dates. Preparing and reviewing appropriate correspondence from foreign associates and to clients and associates regarding new applications, formal requirements, filing details, etc. Assist in filing of U.S. and PCT patent applications, both electronically and paper (including preparation and review of necessary filing documents). Extensive knowledge of U.S. patent rules and procedures; knowledge of PCT and/or national laws of other countries. Process Office Actions. File and assist in prosecution of design applications. Tracking chain of title in U.S. patents and ability to perfect same. Communication with the USPTO and relevant knowledge regarding the USPTO databases. Preparing, maintaining and updating reports for clients regarding status of applications and patents, including reporting filing receipts for applications, publication notices and forwarding patent certificates. Should have 2-5 years of Intellectual Property experience and have previous Foreign Filing experience, and strong computer and research skills. General knowledge of Intellectual Property filing and Prosecution rules/regulations is required. Experience using CPI docketing software is a plus.
