Personal Injury Paralegal The candidate's responsibilities include: Open and manage the files (our files are 90% electronic); Build file under direction of attorney; Assist with client contact; Participate as invited by attorney in developing case strategy; Participate in investigation; Diary case statutes and deadlines; Coordinate insurance benefits (e.g., PIP, health insurance and defense PIP); Identify insurance subrogation claims/liens (including Medicare); Assist attorney in preparation of discovery requests and responses; Format and file motions and other pleadings; Help with trial preparation and trial readiness tasks and post-trial judgments and pleadings; Assist attorney with settlement disbursement tasks including lien reduction negotiations. The candidate should have 5 years personal injury paralegal experience. Strong written and oral communication skills are required. The ability to multi-task with accuracy, problem solve creatively and work with and within a team are highly desirable. Solid computer skills including typing speed and accuracy of 55+ wpm and familiarity with Word Perfect, Word and Time Matters are necessary. Some familiarity with other tech and computer programs and applications desirable.
