Litigation Paralegal/Legal Assistant Duties: Drafting legal court documents, such as pleadings, motions, affidavits, and subpoenas. E-filing all motions and documentation in Florida's E-Portal System. Scheduling depositions, pre-depositions, meetings, mediations, hearings. Assisting attorneys in preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, and conferences. Maintaining attorney(s) calendar. Sending out subpoenas/non-parties and follow up on progress. Coordinating Court Call or Zoom for hearings. Qualifications: Should preferably have Bachelor's degree. A paralegal certificate and/or applicable degree in Paralegal studies is an advantage. A notary certificate holder or mobile Notary is helpful. Experience in Litigation, Insurance Claims, Trial Work, Personal Injury, PIP are beneficial. Experience with legal case management software is a plus. Experience e-filing in both state and federal courts is a plus. Possess excellent organization and drafting skills. Being bilingual is a plus. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to manage a heavy workload in a fast-paced environment. Ability to multitask and prioritize workload while working independently.
