Labor & Employment Attorney The candidate should have a J.D. with high academic standing, outstanding client-service skills, excellent writing, and research skills, a proactive approach to projects, and must be committed to diversity, professionalism, and community service and stewardship. Must have 2-3 years of experience representing employers before local, state, and federal administrative agencies against charges under Title VII, the ADA, the ADEA, the NLRA, wage and hour laws, and employee separation and discipline issues, FMLA, disability accommodations, interviewing and hiring policies, wage and hour compliance, harassment, and workplace investigations. Should have experience drafting handbooks, employee contracts, separation agreements, and a variety of personnel policies; conduct training for HR professionals and employers on a variety of employment law topics.
