Paralegal - Family Law / Civil Litigation The candidate will interview prospective clients, compile and summarize information. Will prepare some court documents and pleadings (including Original Petitions, SAPCR, Discovery Request and Responses, MSJ, etc.). Organize and prepare cases for court appearance - including witness interviews, subpoena of records, etc. Legal research. Discuss issues of case with client based on Attorney direction. Assist Attorney in court as needed. Utilize MyCase client management system. Perform other duties as assigned. Must have 4+ years of experience as a legal assistant/paralegal. Excellent writing is essential. Must have nterest in small/solo practice. Excellent organizational skill is essential.mh knowledge of or familiarity with family law pleadings, (SAPCR, Divorce, etc.); knowledge of civil litigation process and activities--from intake to case closure; Knowledge of MyCase or similar Practice Management tool. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred. Knowledge of general office skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, file maintenance, data entry, business writing is essential. Good telephone skills, grammar, punctuation and spelling skill is essential. Must have 2+ years of experience as Family Law Paralegal and civil Litigation.
