Legal Assistant/Paralegal Candidate will support attorneys corporate and real estate practice groups. Will assisting in preparing legal documents, maintaining those documents and organizing files. Will have corporate and/or real estate experience. Additional responsibilities include providing attorneys with administrative support as well as office management, including preparing correspondence, answering all incoming telephone calls, as well as standard administrative duties, that may include filing, document reproduction, opening new client/matters with conflict searches, maintaining client files, time entry using a computer based billing system, expense reimbursements, maintaining email and calendar, and word processing. The candidate will possess 3+ years of NY legal assistant/paralegal experience. Must have solid organization skills, attention to detail, initiative, resourcefulness, the ability to balance multiple tasks in a fast paced environment and project a professional demeanor in all client interactions, and the ability to manage confidential information with discretion are also required. Requirements include: prior experience in a law firm or corporate setting; excellent command of MS Office, including Outlook, Word and Excel; eDocs or similar document management experience; Rainmaker Platinum or similar billing software experience. Must be well-organized and detail-oriented, with strong proofreading skills and ability to handle high volume and quantity work output.
