Immigration Paralegal Duties: Assisting and support attorney in the preparation and filing of immigration applications, including immigrant visa petitions, applications for permanent residency, naturalization applications, including PERMs, Preference Petitions and Adjustment of Status Applications. Liaising with relevant government agencies including USCIS, ICE, CBP, US Department of State, and US Department of Labor. Analyze, review and organize documents and data from materials produced; and, prepare/coordinate document production and responses to requests for evidence. Prepare job descriptions. Assist attorney with gathering evidence, preparing declarations and supporting documents, preparing evidence and exhibits, and complying with procedural requirements and filing deadlines for cases in the Immigration Court. Assist and support attorney in obtaining civil and criminal court records for immigration matters. Analyze and review case details to determine future actions. Prepare responses to audit requests. Demonstrate strategic thinking and initiative with regard to case assignments; identify and resolve delays in process. Enter time records. Create new files and update client matter reports. Address client case status inquiries; including processing remaining steps in filing, processing times, and consular appointment issues. Conduct ongoing case tracking and management. Qualifications: Ability to manage client relationships for high-volume clients and complex projects under short deadlines. Strong attention to detail. Proficiency with various technology platforms, including Office 2013 and Tracker. Communicate effectively in oral and written English. Strong organizational and project management skills. Initiative, team orientation and professionalism. Ability to work independently, multi-task, and prioritize assignments in a fast-paced environment. Exceptional writing skills. Flexibility to work overtime as necessary. Associates Degree, Bachelor's Degree a plus. Paralegal Certificate a Plus.
