Real Estate Paralegal Responsibilities: Develop, organize, and maintain all documents (i.e., client and closing files). Proofread, and edit legal documents and client correspondence. Manage calendars to ensure meeting all deadlines. Coordinate transactions and work with supervising Partner to close residential and commercial real estate acquisitions and dispositions, with and without loans. Review title commitments, recorded documents and surveys. Experience in drafting closing, conveyancing and loan documents for review and revision by supervising Partner. Track transaction tasks, parties and key dates, and communicate progress to supervising Partner as issues and tasks are resolved. Prepare closing indices and binders, and follow up on the typical host of post-closing matters. Coordinate recordation of deeds, deeds of trust, plats, easements, covenants and other documents to be recorded. Experience in drafting commercial lease agreements, lease abstracts, purchase and sale agreements and reciprocal easement agreements for review and revision by supervising Partner. Assist with entity formations, draft corporate resolutions and keep minute books and other corporate governance materials. Search, prepare and file UCC financing statements. Conduct basic legal and business research. Other responsibilities as client needs dictate. Strong written and oral communication with clients, title companies, local government departments. Make travel arrangements. Other duties as requested. Qualifications: Associates degree. Paralegal or Legal Assistant certification. 2+ years legal experience in commercial or residential transactions. Strong attention to detail. Ability to type 70+ wpm. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and deadlines. Strong grammar and proofreading/editing skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint. Strong administrative and organizational skills. Preferred: Experience with Juris billing program. Experience with SoftPro.
