Temporary Trial Attorney The candidate will assist a criminal defense law firm with cases, clients, and court appearances. Should preferably be former public defender with 2+ years of county court, juvenile or drug court, and some district court trial experience. Will be exposed to many areas of a law practice. Get prepared to practice in criminal defense. Handle procedural or minor court appearances, co-chair jury trials, perform legal research & writing, engage in continuing education, edit and draft motions & pleadings, maintain relationships with clients, investigate witnesses & evidence, and help perform office administrative functions. Should have one or more of the following to be considered: trial practicum or other trial class; evidence practicum or other advanced evidence class; criminal law practicum or advanced criminal procedure class; or civil litigation practicum. CO and DC Bar license required. English and Spanish skills are needed.
