Associate Attorney The candidate will represents clients in matters involving divorce, alimony, paternity, emancipation of children, child custody, domestic violence, property division upon divorce, and constitutional issues defining marriage. Responsible for the division of assets and debt among spouses. Help set the terms for child custody and child support. Supervise and direct mediation sessions, and offer effective legal advice. Organize and record all official documents required to file cases. Conduct discovery and legal research. Uphold a steady schedule of hearings, court appearances, and conferences. Respond to the urgent needs of clients. Attend trials and court proceedings. Regularly update clients about their cases. Maintain clear, complete and timely documentation. Negotiate effectively on behalf of clients. Prepare and present legal analyses and recommendations for judicial action. Manage cases with a team-based approach to include: paralegals, file clerks, forensic accountants, discovery attorneys and the billing department. The candidate should be In good standing with the California State Bar . Should preferably have 3 years experience. Family Law experience is needed. Will meet daily billable requirements. Should have superior Organizational Skills. Must be an attentive listener and remain non-judgmental in promoting clients best interest. Should have ability to prioritize and multitask with meticulous attention to detail and results. Should have superior Writing Abilities. Should have strong computer skills including MS Word, Excel, Adobe and Outlook. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Must be able to investigate, document and resolve issues in a timely and professional manner. Must possess the ability to generate trust and build relationships with co-workers. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times to protect the privacy of employees.
