Personal Injury Paralegal The candidate will perform substantive legal work under the direction of one or more attorneys in the office. A paralegal's primary goal is to move clients' cases by effectively and independently performing substantive legal tasks that do not require a bar license - i.e. everything except attending hearings, depositions, negotiating cases. Will also occasionally perform or assist others in performing legal research, drafting memos, discovery requests and responses, motions, and orders, and preparing for hearings and trials. Paralegals perform their duties under the direction of one or more attorneys to whom they may be assigned. Paralegals employment relationship with the Firm is managed by the Firm Managing Partner. Abide by the ABA's rules of Professional Conduct and Florida Bar rules relating to the practice of law. All work done by paralegals must be in compliance with the highest of ethical standards and performed with sound professional judgment. Should have proven track record of experience, including at least one full year of litigation experience at a plaintiff's personal injury and/or plaintiff's insurance claims law firm. Must have ability to handle and assist with a large & active caseload from case sign up through settlement and/or trial.
