Legal Secretary - Litigation Duties: Responsible for providing a high degree of litigation legal secretarial support to attorneys, paralegals and other administrative personnel. Preparing legal documents for filing with various courts, in various jurisdictions; handling completed work, telephone calls and conference calls to/from attorneys, clients and staff; processing mail; preparing and processing new client matter reports, time sheets and expense reports; scheduling and coordinating conferences, meetings and appointments; coordinating travel arrangements; managing work flow; providing assistance to visitors, paralegals, summer associates and attorneys whose secretaries are absent, and accepting overflow work from other secretaries. Qualifications: 5-10 years of litigation legal secretarial experience. State and federal court filing experience (manual and electronic). Ability to format briefs to include table of contents and table of authorities. Strong skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint. CaseLink a plus. Solid proofreading skills and strong attention to detail. Strong communication and organizational skills. Ability to meet deadlines and respond to changing priorities. Ability to establish effective working relationships with everyone on the team, including attorneys, clients, and others outside the Firm.
