Associate Attorney Responsibilities: File nonimmigrant and immigrant visa petitions with USCIS, CBP, and DOS. Assist with all employment-based immigration cases as assigned by partners. Manage clients as assigned by partners. Prepare content for Meltzer Hellrung s blog and newsletter. Take primary responsibility for all clients acquired by own efforts. Responsible for networking in Chicago and beyond. Expected that you will participate in 12 networking opportunities over the course of the calendar year. Participate in firm decision making regarding strategy and policy. Requirements: Valid law license in the United States. 3+ years experience with corporate immigration. Experience with small and entrepreneurial clients. Experience managing clients with 25 or more foreign national employees. Experience filing H-1B, L-1, TN and O-1 visa petitions. Experience filing PERM and Adjustment of Status Petitions.
