Workers' Compensation Defense Paralegal The candidate will prepare legal documents including pleadings, motions, affidavits, complaints, and legal memoranda. E-file all court documents in state and federal courts. Communicate with clients, courts, counsel, and others daily. Conduct legal research and factual investigation. Prepare discovery documents and responses. Coordinate and summarize depositions. Prepare trial binders and exhibits with a legal assistant. Maintain pleadings and discovery indexes. Organize exhibits, documents, evidence, briefs, and appendices. Aid Attorneys with discovery requests. Help with witness preparation. Help with case settlements. Diary cases and communicate with clients daily. Should have 5+ years of previous experience as a workers' compensation paralegal. In the alternative 5+ years of previous experience as a workers' compensation adjuster. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to multitask, organize, prioritize, handle a fast-paced environment and manage workload with a positive attitude and minimal supervision. Must have strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as attention to detail.
