Paralegal (Mechanical Group) Duties: Providing outstanding service to our clients begins with identifying and developing the best talent. Assist lawyers with the patent prosecution process the drafting, filing, and negotiating a patent with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) for the patent to be granted. Supports prosecution of design patents, which protect the ornamental appearance of an item. Manage clients patent applications file applications and documents with Federal Agencies and Courts. Monitor the patent application process correspond with the client and the USPTO, and organize all correspondence regarding the clients patent applications. Candidates with a four-year technical degree in mechanical engineering, physics, or graphic design and with strong academic credentials are preferred. Previous work experience or paralegal certificate are a plus. A motivated team player who is capable of working effectively, efficiently, and productively with all levels of professional staff in a dynamic workplace.
