Paralegal The candidate will support Litigation & Trial Practice. Review, organize and analyze preliminary documentation and information supporting clients position Discovery. Conduct factual investigation. Interview witnesses; Internet research on witness backgrounds; Obtain and summarize any relevant public records; Gather, organize and summarize factual data collected from client files; Draft subpoenas to 3 rd parties. Draft discovery requests interrogatories, RFP s, RFA s; Follow up on outstanding discovery requests. Gather and review responsive documents and work with attorneys for production; Draft privilege log; Coordinate production of documents; Maintain production log; Review, index, organize, analyze, and summarize documents produced by other parties. Compile documents for experts to review; Draft subpoenas to opposing experts; Prepare expert files and correspondence for production; Maintain expert files. Document management and analysis and summary of materials. Draft timeline of key events. Draft witness matrix. Maintain index of key documents. Assist with ER 904 disclosure. Assist with Trial Exhibits and Witness Lists. Assist with Joint Statement of Evidence. Create and maintain appropriate trial notebooks re key pleadings, witnesses, trial exhibits, etc. Coordinate with court and vendors re technology needs. The candidate must have 5+ years of experience as a litigation paralegal. Must have trial experience. Should have Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate. Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Should have outstanding analytical and organization skills. Must have advanced proficiency of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Adobe. Should have ability to concentrate and pay close attention to detail. Must have knowledge of the Washington State (and Federal) court rules and procedures. Should have excellent grammar, punctuation, spelling and organizational skills. Must be able to adapt to changing situations and function in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Must have ability to exercise sound judgment and decision making. Must be able to anticipate and adjust to the varying needs of attorneys. Should have demonstrated ability to meet obligations with confidentiality, integrity, and sensitivity.
