Family Law Attorney Duties: Drafting of family law pleadings (Prodoc Online Version). Draft and prepare pleadings. Propound & Respond to Discovery. Creating and Preparing: Trial notebooks & Files for hearings. Corresponding with clients, potential clients and other law firms via phones, e-mail, fax, and regular mail. Case Management - Calendaring and Audit calendar for accuracy. Preparing clients and attending court appearances. Docket Review Present status of all cases during a weekly meeting. Lead, train and mentor paralegals in all aspects of their duties to include assisting them as they work towards their board certification in family law. Assisting senior attorney in court for highly contested matters. Requirements: Attorney licensed in Texas (Perfect for newly licensed attorneys; No Probationary licenses accepted). 1-2 Years Of Family Law Experience Required. Family Law Experience (1-2 years). Self-motivated & Problem Solver. Exceptional legal research, writing & communication skills. Typing skills are always a must-have. Willing to push themselves & team to increase standards & results. Experience with consultation and closing the sale. Experience handling the business side of cases from initial retainers, low retainers and balances. Nice to have: Internship in a Family Law Court. Attended the Advanced Family Law Course in the previous 2 years. Family Law CLE hours. Clio Experience. Mediation,Trials & other Court duties.
