Immigration Paralegal The candidate manages a large immigration case-load including; family-based petitions, deferred action for childhood arrival applications (DACA), adjustment of status cases, Employment Authorization Document (EAD) renewal, Citizenship/Naturalization applications, and other USCIS applications or petitions. Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software; helps develop cases by maintaining contact with the attorneys and other paralegals involved in the case; perform complex legal research using traditional and automated research services or other research methods; prepares, proofreads and cite check briefs, legal memoranda, or statements of issues involved in cases, including appropriate suggestions or recommendations; Keeps clients informed by providing follow-up calls, letters or emails frequently; accomplishes organizational goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. Should preferably have a Bachelor's degree. Also, 1 year of Microsoft Office experience is preferred.
