Paralegal (Personal Injury) The candidate will be assisting in its plaintiff's-side personal injury department and handling routine cases from start to finish under the supervision of the handling attorney. Will be serving in personal injury client intake; filing claims with the appropriate insurers. Obtaining related records from medical providers and law enforcement. Updating clients on the status of their cases. Preparing draft Complaints for matters escalated to litigation. Routine court filings; Lien settlement. Handling court filings; Drafting correspondence to clients, experts, and others. Preparing discovery requests and responses. Acting as a liaison between clients and attorneys. Calendaring deadlines and court dates. The candidate should have Associate or Bachelor's degree. Should have strong oral and written communication skills to assist both attorneys and clients. Bilingual in Spanish is required. Experience handling all aspects of personal injury matters essential. Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks with multiple deadlines needed. Strong attention to detail and superb organization skills essential. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word. Experienced with Microsoft Outlook and Excel is needed.
