Employee Benefits Paralegal Or Consultant The candidate should have Bachelor s degree in a related field (Business, Accounting, Finance, Human Resources). Must have 5+ years of working in employee benefits as an attorney, consultant or financial advisor/recordkeeper. Should have knowledge of ERISA and non-ERISA rules and concepts. Must have understanding of plan design and plan interpretation issues regarding defined benefits, 457(b), 401(a), 403(b), plans. Must have excellent interpersonal and communications skills (written and verbal). Excellent project management skills are needed.
