Paralegal / Legal Assistant The candidate will join immigration practice. Will handle a wide variety of immigration matters, including applications with the consulates abroad and U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, representing clients arrested by the Department of Homeland Security, and defending immigrants in deportation proceedings in Immigration Court. Will assist with completing immigration applications. Work with clients to obtain information and documents for immigration filings. Perform intake of new clients, gathering pertinent facts. Basic filing and simple organizing of file folders. Associates degree, paralegal certificate, or 4 year degree preferred.
