Civil Litigation Attorney Responsibilities: Independently manage a litigation caseload, working cases from beginning to end. Represent clients in a wide range of civil defense litigation claims. Regularly handle court appearances, depositions, case investigation, discovery and motion practice. Work closely with other attorneys and staff on legal projects. Communicate with clients and provide status reports. Qualifications: JD from an accredited law school. Admitted to practice law in the state of Texas. Superior writing skills, legal research and attention to detail is required. Prior 3 years of litigation experience is a must; insurance defense experience including oilfield injury litigation, construction defect and/or bodily injury experience is strongly preferred. Experience drafting discovery, motions, litigation reports, and handling court appearances, depositions and trial experience is required. Motivated, self-starters need only apply.
