Litigation Paralegal The candidate will support 2 to 4 attorneys on diverse matters a and commercial trials pending in both state and federal courts. Should have mastered Outlook, Word, Excel and PDF. Should have a working knowledge of state and federal electronic filing systems; handle a fast-paced, dynamic and challenging work environment; multi-task and operate under tight litigation deadlines; stay organized, self-motivated and resourceful; has strong written and verbal communication skills; quickly proofreads, edits and formats documents; active listening and excellent note taking sills; effective working either independently or collaboration with other support staff; maintains a positive attitude. Will be calendaring, docketing and maintaining firm-wide and multiple attorney calendars; track, log and monitor attorney time and costs billed to a file; manage discovery particularly related to discovery; working in a case management system to keep legal matters organized and updated; track key litigation due dates, deadlines and SOL s; filing court documents, schedule hearings and coordinate with judicial chambers; handling client inquiries via email, telephone and in person; and assist attorneys with hearing and court preparation.
