Corporate Practice Assistant/Legal Secretary The candidate will prepare, edit and format legal documents, including closing documents, signature pages and binders. Manage attorneys calendars, coordinates meetings, schedules conference rooms, and makes travel arrangements as required. Assist with billing process to include entering attorney time, reviewing pro formas (initiates transfers), editing and preparing draft/final bills and cover letters for clients. Prepare forms for expense reports, check requests, reprographic services, etc. Prepare legal documents and correspondence from draft. Opens, prioritizes and distributes mail. Coordinates mailings, deliveries, copying and courthouse filings where appropriate. The candidate should have high school diploma or GED and 4-7 years of corporate/transactional legal experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong multitasking skills and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment required. Excellent planning and organizational skills required. Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook and Elite (or other comparable time entry software) essential. Excellent communication skills a must.
