Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will organize and maintain filing (paper and electronic). Will manage calendars, organize and schedule external and internal meetings, teleconferences, client meetings, etc. Open new client files. Prepare correspondence, court filings in state, federal, appellate and bankruptcy courts, pleadings, discovery, subpoenas and other miscellaneous legal documents in an accurate and timely manner. E-filing for both Federal and State Courts. Mark and create Table of Authorities and Table of Contents in briefs. Proactive work style and analytical skills: able to read, research, review, verify and route correspondence, reports and legal documents. Strong production skills with ability to produce accurate work product when formatting documents, inputting data, editing, copying, scanning and transmitting text, data and graphics. Enter attorney time and edit prebills. The candidate should have 3+ years of experience. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with proficiency in grammar and spelling essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) needed. Experience with document management system preferred. Excellent organization, time management, and multi-tasking skills required.
