Trust and Estates Paralegal The candidate will draft probate pleadings and trust notices and proofread for accuracy. Ex Parte Court appearance. Prepare estate inventory. Prepare estate and trust accountings. Draft all distribution documents including preparation and recording of deeds and related documents. Work directly and communicate well with clients and clients advisors. Assist attorney with drafting and filing estate and gift tax returns. Will work with multiple attorneys as requested to assist in estate planning documentation and transfers and manage ongoing long-term projects. Understand basic estate planning and estate tax concepts. Prepare trust funding documents and correspondence. Draft estate planning documents as requested. Manage and perform specific tasks for the routine maintenance of family limited liability companies, qualified personal residence trusts, and life insurance trusts. Strong knowledge of estate and trust administration and general estate planning concepts. Ability to work collaboratively and/or independently, while being proactive in prioritizing multiple projects to meet deadlines. Ability to confidently perform court filings and court recordings. Knowledge of probate statutes and court rules, including ability to research. Must demonstrate a high degree of confidentiality, maintaining client confidences and protecting operations by safeguarding private information. Advanced word processing/computer skills utilizing a variety of software programs including, but not limited to, MS Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint, Adobe and Fileshare. Must possess excellent written and oral communication skills, including grammar, spelling and punctuation, attention to detail and follow-through skills. Should also be highly organized and able to successfully multi-task and meet set deadlines. Strong customer service, ability to be flexible and work effectively as part of a team is required. 3 year of experience required.
