Paralegal/Legal Assistant The candidate will responsible for administrative support for attorneys in the department including, drafting legal documents, handling client inquiries, preparing all documentation in a precise manner and performing technical duties as needed on a daily basis. Draft responses to discovery or client requests and review responses from opposing counsel; Prepare client correspondence and legal papers such as summonses, probate documents, complaints, motions, responses, and subpoenas under the supervision of an attorney; Determine matters of top priority and handle accordingly; Schedule meetings and arrange conference rooms; Manage schedules and docketing court dates, hearings and deadlines, as needed; Order, assemble and prepare packages for certain client matters, track related expenses; Answer/screen/initiate phone calls and emails for attorney; Coordinate with clients, external counsel and other vendors to obtain and exchange information and documentation related to legal matters; Keeping the client updated on upcoming depositions, hearings, or meetings; Assist with legal research, as needed; Execute attorney corrections to finalize documents; Gather information, documents, categorize and organize all hard copy and electronic trial documents, file opening packets and client files; Provide excellent customer service by promptly returning client phone calls daily and resolving client needs in a sensitive and efficient manner; Arrange for outgoing mail and packages to be picked up or delivered; Answer phones when needed for reception backup; Maintain office procedures; Maintain and update existing document production forms and systems; Maintain confidentiality and work independently; All other projects as assigned. Telephone/Meeting Etiquette, Oral and Written Communication Skills, Professionalism, Terminology, Interpersonal Skills, Organization, Planning, Proofreading and Grammatical Computer Literacy, Type 60 WPM are required. BA degree or paralegal certificate preferred and a minimum of three (3) years related work experience required; Notary Public are required.
