Litigation Paralegal The candidate will join personal injury insurance defense team. Will be able to provide assistance during all phases of the litigation process including conducting client interviews, medical records review and summation, research, and document preparation and filing. Review, analyze and summarize medical records, medical bills, insurance, employment, and academic records in order to prepare detailed chronologies of injuries, damages, expenses and other losses. Oversee all discovery for multiple cases for all stages of litigation. Prepare discovery documents and correspondence seeking information from opposing counsel and third parties. Prepare for mediation, including drafting statements and summaries. Prepare for trial by preparing trial notebooks, exhibits, and witness folders. Contribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Proven working experience as a paralegal, 3 years preferred. Ability to efficiently review, analyze and summarize medical, employment and academic records. Applicable knowledge of discovery, evidence, litigation documentation, court rules and procedures, practices etc. Strong writing and communication skills along with attention to detail. Extensive computer and database expertise. Paralegal associates degree or other relevant certification. Some medical background would be a bonus.
