Temporary Immigration Paralegal Duties: Provides quality and specialized document preparation and has extensive client contact and works collaboratively and cooperatively with others in a team-oriented Immigration Department. Providing a high level of service to external and internal clients. Under the direct supervision of an attorney, the Immigration Paralegal will prepare immigration paperwork for timely filing with various U.S. government agencies and offices. Work in a fast paced, collaborative team-oriented environment with extensive phone and email client contact. Will learn and master the challenging procedural and processing requirements for all types of petitions and applications filed by employers on behalf of its foreign national workforce. Will utilize the Firm's resources and other available case management tools to prioritize, monitor and successfully manage a caseload. Maintains an exceptional client service attitude and professional demeanor at all times. Shows initiative, flexibility, resiliency and a willingness to adapt to change. Takes ownership and gets the job done without the need for prodding or supervision. Maintains a positive, can do attitude when dealing with clients, co-workers and attorneys. Contributes to an atmosphere of teamwork and congeniality. Requirements: AA required but Bachelor's degree preferred. Must have 3+ years working experience as an immigration paralegal in a fast-paced business immigration environment. Experience preparing H-1B, L-1, TN and PERM applications, preferably in a large law firm environment. Experience with business immigration LawLogix, INS Zoom or other immigration case management software. Experience with document management systems. Track record of meeting assigned deadlines and ability to communicate case progress/status/issues to supervisor. Proven ability to multi-task in a fast-paced, high volume office environment with competing demands. Demonstrated flexibility and initiative regarding assignments for self and team. Outstanding case management and organizational skills are necessary. Strong business writing skills. Demonstrated strong communication, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills with a keen attention to detail. Proficient in Excel Word and Outlook.
