Litigation Paralegal - Insurance Defense The candidate will conduct research to support legal proceedings. Will assist with the drafting and reviewing of legal documents. Investigate facts to help in the negotiation of legal disputes. Monitor and ensure compliance with state and federal regulations. Record and store client information. Obtain, review and summarize subpoenaed records. Handle communications with opposing counsel, deponents, doctors offices, hospitals, record departments. Prepare binders. Schedule depositions and IMEs with all the supporting documents and communications. Prepare cases for trial, Identifying and contacting experts. Develop and maintain data banks; Opening and closing files. The candidate should preferably have current or most recent employment in the role of a litigation paralegal. Must possess a Bachelor's degree. Paralegal certificate is a plus. Prior law firm experience is required. Experience with insurance defense practice is required. Must preferably have 2+ years of experience. Must possess working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
