Family Law Legal Assistant/Paralegal The candidate will have the ability to multi-task, able to prioritize assignments, and meet deadlines. Will answer calls from prospective and existing clients, and other receptionist duties, as needed. Draft letters to court, counsel, clients, and other parties. Draft pleadings, motions and letters for attorneys. Maintain family law client files, including managing deadlines. Properly calendar all hearing/trial dates, scheduling order dates, appointments, ticklers. Assist attorneys with trial preparation. Scheduling conferences, mediation, depositions. Book initial consultations and take payments. Fax, scan and copy documents. Maintain client's file on firm's case management system. Arrange for courier services, court reporting and service of process. Contact clerk's offices. Organize files and open/close office. Serving as liaison between attorney and client. Maintain effective communication with clients and attorneys. Should have 2+ years of family law experience. Must have strong communication skills, and capable of working independently or as a team. Must be proficient with: Apple Pages, Apple Numbers, Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Dropbox, MyCase and Google Calendar.
