Paralegal - Family Law The candidate' must be adept at drafting pleadings, drafting and managing discovery, as well as scheduling and tracking hearings, mediations, and trials. Also required is knowledge of the Texas Rules of Civil Procedure, Texas Family Code, county local rules, and individual court policies and procedures. The Family Law Paralegal must be able to effectively communicate with clients, court personnel, and opposing attorneys. Family Law Paralegal will help the attorney prepare cases for mediation, hearings, trials. Family Law Paralegal must also have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office, TXDocs, E-Filing, and how to locate case information from district and county clerk websites. Most importantly, the Family Law Paralegal must be teachable, love people, and committed to doing what's right. Experience 3 years (Preferred).
