This large international New York law firm founded in 1934 has established a full-service presence. Clients include large corporations and individuals as well as small and medium-sized businesses. The firm represents a wide range of industrial, financial and commercial enterprises, both publicly and privately held. Firm lawyers represent clients in every state as well as numerous foreign jurisdictions. The firm is organized by legal specialization: corporate, e-commerce, employee benefits, estate planning, government and regulatory affairs, health law, intellectual property, international, litigation and tax. Intellectual Property Litigation Paralegal Responsibilities: The candidate will organize, index, and maintain case files. Assist with the preparation and drafting of various legal documents including transmittal letters, subpoenas and case summaries for attorney review. Perform cite-checking. Gather case-related materials including contracts, witness and expert files, and exhibits. File documents with federal and state courts, arbitration and dispute resolution bodies, and government agencies. Maintain departmental docketing calendar to ensure timely filings. Prepare trial workspaces, including coordinating with IT and outside vendors regarding war room equipment. Provide administrative trial support, including maintaining exhibit lists and filing court documents. Manage a large portfolio of cases and track deadlines. Qualifications: The candidate should have a Bachelor's degree or Paralegal Certificate, preferred or equivalent job experience. And 4+ years of related work experience. Experience with the ITC, PTAB, and Federal Circuit preferred. Trial experience preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational skills. Ability to work under tight deadlines and prioritize responsibilities. Ability to work flexible and/or fluctuating work hours. Ability to handle and maintain confidential information.
