Legal Secretary - Litigation The candidate will be preparing and filing documents in state, federal, and appellate courts. Typing, drafting, and editing correspondence, memoranda, and other legal documents. Managing all administrative functions for several attorneys including client intake, expense reimbursements, time entry, etc. Establishing and maintaining the calendar, contact lists, and docket system for assigned attorneys. Maintaining attorney and general office files. Reviewing and preparing files to be closed when matters are complete. Greeting clients and visitors. Answering telephone calls, taking messages and/or sending callers to voicemail system if preferred. Reading, sorting, and date stamping all incoming mail and ensuring that outgoing mail is timely delivered. Performing additional duties as assigned. The candidate should have a High School Diploma or equivalent. Should have 3 years of established Litigation experience. Should have knowledge of court filing procedures including electronic filings, exceptional organizational skills, strong oral and written communication skills, ability to effectively manage competing deadlines, proficiency in MS Office Suite, minimum typing speed of 65 wpm.
