Litigation Paralegal The candidate will assist a team of eight attorneys and three paralegals with a current case load in the Insurance Defense Litigation Department. Will be required to work case files independently. Responsibilities: Preparation of pleadings; Service of pleadings; Review of case documents; Communication with witnesses, other legal staff and court personnel; Preparation of case chronologies; Preparing first draft of discovery responses; Handle requests from insurance adjusters; Responsible for meeting insurance reporting criteria. College degree preferred. Construction litigation experience required. Insurance defense background preferred. Knowledge of insurance carrier reporting requirements is required. Must have 3-5 years experience. Should have experience with Microsoft Office suite and case file systems such as LawBase. Experience with insurance company billing requirements is required.
