Legal Secretary The candidate will be responsible to provides support integral to the daily operations of the firm, including, but not limited to: processing mail, coordinating meetings, and performing document management duties. Assists paralegals with the following tasks: receives, reviews, prepares and, if necessary, files and reports patent and trademark application-related documents including draft patent applications, preliminary amendments, office action responses, to make the documents ready to file in compliance with client instructions/procedures, firm procedures, and patent office requirements. Performs a final post-issue review of patent applications targeted for issuance and proofreads same upon issuance. Prepares formal documents for signature; assists in locating inventors through social media; tracks and collects completed formal documents for filing at the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office. The candidate should have Bachelors Degree required; all majors and had intermediate knowledge of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF conversion tools, and MS Outlook. Have an attention to detail and an ability to work with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment. Prior law firm experience preferred. Intermediate PC knowledge in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF conversion tools, MS Outlook, and document management software.
