Paralegal - Real Estate Duties: Under general supervision and according to established policies and procedures, provide legal/general financing and real estate transactional support to the firm s attorneys and their clients. Working with and organizing transactional documents such as purchase and sale agreements, assignments, amendments, escrow agreements and bills of sale in connection with commercial real estate acquisition and disposition transactions. Working with and organizing complex easement agreements and documentation of condominiums, owner s associations, and mixed-use developments. Obtaining, reviewing and analyzing title documentation and surveys as well as other diligence materials for commercial real estate acquisition and commercial real estate financing transactions. Obtaining, preparing, ordering and/or filing various documents (including formation documents), certificates, statements, amendments, and forms for corporate entities. Preparing and updating closing checklists. Preparing and organizing final documents for closings. Preparing, reviewing and finalizing closing binders. Working with and organizing financing documents such as commitment letters, notes, deeds of trust, guaranties, loan agreements and loan modification documents in connection with commercial multi-state financing transactions. Requirements: Undergraduate degree and paralegal certificate required; will consider candidate with comparable relevant experience in lieu of a paralegal certificate. 8-10 years of commercial real estate legal experience needed. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent organizational and proofreading skills. Ability to interact with clients, attorneys and staff at all organizational levels in an articulate, courteous and business-like manner. Ability to organize and prioritize issues and workload, track and meet deadlines, and work under pressure and within time constraints. Ability to work independently (or with little supervision) or as part of a team. Flexibility and ability to adapt to constantly changing priorities. Ability to exercise independent judgment and initiative. Must be highly motivated and a self-starter. Must be familiar with and observe the firm s established policies and guidelines. Must maintain positive contact with attorneys (both the firm s and outside counsel), support staff, clients and vendors. Must observe confidentiality of client and firm matters.
