Assistant Paralegal/Client Concierge (Client Relations) The candidate will work together with an interdisciplinary team to achieve the company's mission of providing the highest quality of work for our clients and ensuring their best interest is represented across all positions. Although we do a variety of appeals, our firm's main focus is family law and child welfare, where we strive to persuade the Court of Appeals to overturn bad trial court decisions in order for parents to regain custody of their children. Our current team is passionate about helping our clients and our next team member must share these attributes. Professional appearance and attitude are a must. Work under the direction of the Lead Paralegal to obtain all necessary documents pertaining to each case - such as transcripts and trial court documents. Update work-flow tracking charts on a daily/weekly basis. Draft legal documents for Attorneys (Claim of Appeal, Docketing Statement, etc.) Assist Attorneys with getting briefs out the door (Assemble Table of Contents, Appendix, Bookmarking, E-filing, etc.). Basic research and draft simple motions (such as Motion to Extend, etc.). Assist our New Client Coordinator with Potential New Clients (PNCs) overflow work, such as answering any non-legal questions raised by PNCs regarding filling out forms, sending documents to the firm, signing legal services agreements, or any other matter involving the PNCs pre-engagement relationship.. Send gifts to referral sources. Obtain client reviews and send reports to the Operations Manager and Marketing Assistant. Assist with the dissemination of marketing materials as needed. Assist the firm's Administrative Assistant with Client status letters as needed Experience drafting court filings and pleadings, experience with e-filing is a plus. Previous paralegal or office administrative experience preferred. Attention to detail and ambition to constantly improve quality of their work are required.
