Paralegal - Litigation The candidate should have 5+ years of experience. Will support multiple attorneys in a Civil Litigation Defense practice. Experience with Medical Malpractice Defense support is required. Knowledge of legal processes in the Pennsylvania and New Jersey region is a plus. Responsibilities include: subpoenas, authorizations, scheduling of IME's and depositions, preparing medical chronologies, expert research, management of discovery in civil cases, trial preparation and other tasks as required. Qualifications: Knowledge and experience with medical malpractice matters, in the range of 3-5 years at minimum Ability to read and interpret all types of medical, dental, pharmacutical, and radiology imaging records, whether handwritten or computer generated. Must have experience generating efficient summaries of medical records, with emphasis on the particular issues in a case. Comfort and experience with reviewing discovery responses in medical malpractice matters. Experience with requesting records either through third party record services, or via own subpoenas. Working knowledge of the Rules of Civil Procedure that pertain to professional liability matters. Must be well-organized, and assist the supervising attorney with achieving and maintaining file organization.
