Associate Patent Attorney The candidate's responsibilities will include: Patent application preparation; Patent application prosecution (foreign and domestic); Client counseling; Opinion work; and Special projects. Should also be experienced in interacting with foreign patent attorneys and prosecuting foreign patent applications. Litigation and/or post-grant review experience is also desirable. Knowledge of trademark law and/or copyright law is helpful but not required. Must have 3+ years experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications in the U.S.; must have a degree in chemistry (bachelors, masters, and/or doctorate); Should have a working knowledge of pharmaceutical sciences (preferably in the small molecule field);Must have: excellent interpersonal skills and experience interacting with clients; registration to practice before the USPTO; and admission to a state bar, preferably New Jersey and/or New York (not required for Patent Agent applicants). Should also be experienced in interacting with foreign patent attorneys and prosecuting foreign patent applications. Litigation and/or post-grant review experience is also desirable. Knowledge of trademark law and/or copyright law is helpful but not required.
