Associate Attorney The candidate works independently as a trial attorney, and has proven success and experience pursuing and settling cases through a variety of channels including a range of conflict resolution methods. Consults with the senior attorney and staff about legal research, client and third party meetings, court appearances, trial preparation and trial. Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals in a dynamic setting. Focus on Client Representation, Business Practices and Development, Staff Interaction. Should have JD degree from an ABA-approved law school. Must be licensed and active member in good standing of the California Bar 2+ years of experience in civil litigation and/or criminal defense. Must have proven familiarity with the standard concepts, practices and procedures within the field. A certain degree of creativity and latitude is required. Bi-lingual (Spanish/English) is preferred. Must have extensive knowledge of litigation procedures in California. Experience in handling pretrial discovery, motion practice, trial preparation and trial is essential. Must have extensive knowledge on use of email, search engines, Internet, knowledge and use of Microsoft Products (and Abacus a plus).
