Legal Secretary Litigation The candidate will complete many routine administrative tasks, and assist lawyers with legal work including research, court filings and client communication. Will work with the litigation team in the preparation and filing of all court documents and have knowledge of electronic court filings and litigation procedures. Contact clients and opposing counsel for the scheduling of appointments and maintain timekeeper calendars. Communicate directly with clients in a professional manner. Review and proofread all documents produced, check for proper formatting, spelling and grammatical errors, as well as ensuring that all attachments, exhibits or enclosures are intact before distribution. Provide document production services in accordance with the requirements of assigned timekeepers. Maintain client files - electronic scanning. Assist attorneys in the review of billing statements. Act as liaison between attorneys and paralegals with regard to prioritizing workload and deadlines. General administration / secretarial duties. Organizing travel and accommodations. Coordinate and make travel arrangements. Responsible for ordering office supplies. Communicate information and updates on projects to appropriate timekeeper. Prepare assignments according to required specifications. Perform conflict checks and file openings. 2+ years of experience. working as a Legal Secretary is preferred. Litigation experience is preferred. Experience with ECF court filings is preferred. Proficient in Microsoft Office is preferred.
