Legal Secretary The candidate will focus on legal document processing, editing, curation, and formatting. E-mailing general correspondence and digital uploading of documents to the New York State court system. Must have Associates degree in administrative and secretarial studies. Utilize software to convert and format legal documents. Revise, proof, and reconcile documents. Compile, input, and update data into firm databases (i.e. Contacts, document profile information). Accurate transcription and editing of documents from digital recordings. Assist in the redaction of personal information in accordance with court guidelines, NYSUC E-filing. General correspondence E-mailing. Additional administrative tasks and projects as needed. Reports to the managing partner and office manager. Works closely within the secretarial department as a team. Must have 2+ years experience with legal word processing. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Detail-oriented and highly organized. Excellent Microsoft Office suite skills. Experience with the New York State Unified Court system E-filing website. Efficient with PerfectLaw application.
