Labor & Employment Paralegal Duties: Under general supervision, and according to established policies and procedures, provides case and file management support for the Labor and Employment practice group. Interacts with colleagues in the practice group and upholds the image of the Firm by maintaining positive contact with clients, attorneys, paralegals and staff and observing confidentiality of client matters. Serves as a case manager for a large class action and other case litigation, managing multiple projects, deadlines and priorities. Ability to work effectively within a team. Ability to organize, prioritize and manage numerous tasks and complete them under time constraints. Ability to accurately write, edit and proofread (punctuation, grammar, spelling) correspondence and other legal documents. Reviews and outlines depositions; locates and organizes deposition exhibits; and digests testimony for motion and trial preparation Maintains fact analysis database and assists in preparation of motion for summary judgment Utilizes document review database for depositions, motions and trial preparation Communicate effectively with firm project managers, litigation support professionals and other support professionals to efficiently accomplish case related tasks Drafts correspondence, reports, memoranda and other legal documents. Reviews and analyzes cases. Contacts and interviews parties and witnesses. Organizes and maintains documents, files and records. Drafts answers, routine notices, affidavits, subpoenas and position statements in response to administrative charges. Performs cite checking, Shepardizing and legal research both manually and through use of electronic resources such as Lexis-Nexis and Westlaw. Tracks and records billable time. Maintains strong client relationships. Requirements: Bachelors degree and will have 7-10 years of Labor & Employment experience.
