Legal Secretary - Health and Immigration Law Responsibilities: Support attorneys in connection with all aspects of case management in Health Law. Assemble regulatory filings, type, proofread and finalize legal documents, correspondence, memos, charts, handwriting or existing documents, as directed by assigned legal staff sometimes under short deadlines. Maintain files or legal documents, memos, reports, addresses as per firm policy or instructions from legal staff. Copy a large volume of documents, memos, reports and other materials as required. Maintain and enter time charges into the billing system as required. Update calendars, assist with travel arrangements, schedule meetings and conferences. Qualifications: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. 1-2 years of legal secretary experience preferred. Ability to quickly learn practice area including medical terminology. Exceptional technical skills required including knowledge of MS Word and Adobe Professional. strong organizational, communication and client service skills. Must be detailed oriented, excellent proofreading, grammar and spelling skills and the ability to multi-task are essential.
